A video of the Mystic Journey show was discovered in 2020 and the recorded audio was reunited with the video, creating two show videos. These can now be seen on the Kindred Spirit Band YouTube channel. |
The Mystic Journey was a collaboration between Elaine Samuels, her Kindred Spirit Band and Celtic harp player and storyteller France Ellul. It was a complete fantasy, mythical story about the spirit of the Green Man. It tells how / why he appeared on earth, what he did, why he retreated into the trees, earth and stone and how we need him to return, to help vitalise the efforts to save the planet from environmental disaster!
Originally, it was hoped to tour with this show but it wasn't to be and there was only one show, at Windsor Arts Centre. Incredibly, with many technical difficulties and the lateness of the drummer, who broke down on the way up from Sussex and was very late, the band managed to make a live recording of this show, which was produced as this double album!
Unfortunately, this album is no longer in stock but we rediscovered (during the 2020 / 2021 lockdowns) the video footage and have put the live recording with the video and will be making it available on our social media channels.
