Early Years

Elaine Samuels performed solo (and duo with school friend Tracy Scott) as a regular supporter of Staines Folk Club from aged 14, when Staines Folk Club was hosted by Barry Dix in the '70s and we had artistes such as June Tabor and Martin Simpson - amazing!

"Staying Up Late"(1990 - 91)
After performing solo for a year or so (mainly at Twickenham Folk Club but also at other local folk clubs like Staines and Uxbridge) I was asked to be the lead singer (guitar player) with trio "Staying Up Late" with Andy Peters (guitar / bass) and Paul Vile (guitar / mandolin).
